| NACHSA members work side-by-side with elected county officials to develop and advocate national policies promoting county-based programs which support low-income families. Working within the NACo policy process, NACHSA members participate directly in shaping congressional and regulatory action affecting county governments and their residents. Serving as the basis of lobbying by the NACo staff and membership, these human services and health policies are adopted by the overall NACo membership and incorporated into the American County Platform annually. |  |
