NACo's Legislative Conference is held soon after Congress has reconvened and the president has submitted a budget for the upcoming year. Held in Washington, D.C. the Conference attracts key Senators, Representatives and members of the Administration who interact with county officials and describe proposed legislation affecting counties. The conference also enables NACHSA attendees to travel to Capitol Hill to meet with their congressional delegation on human services priorities.
